The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Driver Information Systems area of client's Electrical Engineering is responsible for Instrument Clusters and Head Up Display technologies. These customer facing technologies are complex, high value, and have a significant focus in our client due to the customer impact. This role is for an Electrical Engineer to deliver quality and process improvement projects within the Driver Information Systems area.

1.Quality toolset (e.g. Black Belt) practitioner and warranty data analysis expert.
2.Automotive electrical systems diagnostics and Working knowledge of automotive electronics, software, and hardware including plastic mouldings.
3.Project delivery through managing multiple requirements and interfaces, and reporting. Great team working.

Additional Information :
Direct involvement in the specification, design, project management, and launch of instrument cluster and head up display technologies would be an advantage.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The following are key skills to be successful in the role> A great team worker and communicator, capable of working across and coordinating client and supplier engineering and plant teams.
An expert in use of quality toolset (i.e. Six Sigma), and warranty data analysis. A practitioner of variability reduction using tools such as SPC. Project planning and project leadership. Automotive electrical systems diagnostics. Working knowledge of automotive electronics, software, and hardware including plastic mouldings. Understanding of automotive electronics test methods (EMC, Electrical, Environmental).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The following is a list of additional skills that will be very useful in the role.
Practical knowledge and use of CAN tools (Vector is preferred).
Up to date knowledge of models.
First hand experience of delivering electrical components.
A valid UK driving licence.
Awareness of business priorities.
