The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Brakes Electronics System Engineer. Responsible for the delivery of the electrical Brake systems for assigned client platforms. Responsibilities include: Manage Electrical System delivery across all client vehicle lines Collating feature requirements and translation into an electrical system design specification Liaise with other Electrical areas (IPC, BCM, EDS, etc.) to ensure robust delivery of the electrical system Ensure requirements on other systems/modules are clearly cascaded and that timing plans are in place to support the system development and delivery Liaise with Chassis to ensure robust delivery of electrical system across all vehicle lines Ensure Chassis & Electrical plans are aligned Liaise with Chassis Electronics module leader on electrical programme status AIMS, eFDVS/RMDV, Deliverables status, etc. Develop robust system electrical specifications (both internal and with suppliers). Develop robust DVM/DVP for electrical system validation including HIL development Develop and maintain Manufacturing & Service documentation for the Electrical system Support Chassis led design activities (FMEA, etc.) Support Chassis or Electrical led warranty investigations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of system engineering principles Previous experience of Electrical system delivery to programmes Previous experience of working within a cross functional team Effective team leadership skills Good understanding of MUX requirements (CAN, LIN, GGDS, SWDL, etc.) Development project experience (GPDS, project management, etc.) Good understanding of software development and integration processes Good understanding of client Electrical Architectures Thorough understanding of system engineering principles Previous experience of Electrical system delivery to programmes Previous experience of working within a cross functional team Effective team leadership skills Good understanding of MUX requirements (CAN, LIN, GGDS, SWDL, etc) Development project experience (GPDS, project management, etc.) Good understanding of software development and integration processes Good understanding of client Electrical Architectures
Minimum HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in Brakes Electronics Systems.
Experience in Brakes Electronics Systems. Previous experience of delivering OBD Experience of vehicle level fault finding Familiarity with system development tools (CANalyzer, ASL, GGD-DHA, etc.) Ability to understand CAD information to resolve packaging issues Understanding of WERS and component release procedures Understanding of AWS and associated warranty data Understanding of underlying mechanical principles (chassis) affecting TR/JDO system
Ideally Educated to degree level
