The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
- This position will be working in the Research department and then transferring with the project into the Electrical Engineering department, working on the Head Up Display project.
- The role requires a background in optics and/or displays with a deep understanding of the performance targets, metrics and measurement methodologies surrounding displays, and in particularl head up displays.
- The position will be to lead the technical delivery of head up displays on future company vehicles and thus will involve both project management and technical leadership as well as interfacing to other areas of the business to ensure succesful delivery of the technology such as Packaging, Body, Electrical and Vehicle Engineering.
- This role is required to manage the process of delivering the HUD onto the companys vehicles from an optical design perspective.

Skills Required:
- Acute knowledge of display & projection display systems, from basic components to system deployment
- An undestanding of performance metrics as well as measurement methodologies and techniques required to validate HUD performance Electrical engineering and vehicle display systems and technology knowledge
- An understanding of optical design is desireable.

Skills Preferred:
- Development experience of automotive displays systems and technologies.
- Generation of project timing plans, specifications and design verification plans .
- Expericence of designing & validating automotive idisplay systems functionality.
- Creation of formal documentation (i.e. engineering standards).
- Technology/feature benchmarking and future proffing.

Experience Required:
- Familiarity with premium automotive sector, products and features.

Education Required:
- Educated to degree level (Masters Preferable) in a related discipline (Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Display Systems/Physics/Optics).
