The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Headlamp Control Module Component Engineer. The HCM component engineer is required to deliver the commodity on time and on budget through use of the vehicle project management toolset including GPDS, eFDVS, RMDV, AIMS, WERS, FMEA, PACN. Working within the Electrical Departments as part of the Body Electronics lighting team, responsible for delivering a complex integrated lighting component to new vehicle programmes. Headlamp Control Module has to interface with all of the headlamps fitted across all vehicle lines and control the headlamp levelling and advanced front lighting systems in order to deliver an optimised customer experience.

Skills Required:
Ability to deliver complex Engineering System commodities to a set timeframe. Good communication skills. Ability to generate and understand Engineering Specifications. A full driving licence valid for the UK.

Skills Preferred:
Understanding of the Engineering Design Process (V-diagram). Experience of Engineering Quality toolsets and processes - FMEA, Interface Analysis, Boundary Diagrams, 6-Sigma etc.

Experience Required:
Previous experience of delivering an Engineering commodity to a fixed timeframe and budget.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of automotive lighting systems. Experience of specifiying/verifying automotive electrical commodities. Knowledge of toolsets and processes - GPDS, eFDVS, RMDV, AIMS, WERS. Knowledge of Vehicle Multiplex systems - CAN, LIN and associated analysis tools Knowledge of ECU Diagnostics - Diagnostic protocols and DTCs.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.

Education Preferred:
Qualification in an Electrical/Electronic or Software Engineering discipline.
