The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role is to integrate software packages, within the Simulink and TargetLink environment, onto a rapid prototyping ECU. Specify and verify the interfacing of this rapid prototyping ECU with the Engine Management System, using HIL, SIL or test rig facilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Understanding of model based (i.e. Simulink) automotive control systems.
- Competent use of control unit test and development tools (e.g. INCA, Canalyser, Control Desk).
- Understanding of the control structure of torque based engine management systems.
- Simulink / Matlab.
- Familiar with running of engine test facilities / HIL / SIL / vehicles.
- Experience of calibration and control of automotive control units.
- Ability to test and validate software within an embedded control environment, diagnose and rectify issues.
- Analysis and presentation of test data Report writing.
- Full driving licence

- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and be able to demonstrate initiative.
- An ability to manage multiple tasks.
- The organisation and drive to follow tasks through to a successful outcome.
- An ability to work independently or part of a team.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including a diplomatic and professional approach when dealing with customers; both external and internal to the company.
- Ability to follow and/or implement processes.
- An understanding of the engineering V & V process applicable to model-based design and software development.
- Knowledge of hybrid supervisory control systems.
