The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Low Voltage and High Voltage EDS and EVSE Engineer within the Hybrid Department responsible for supporting the design, development of the High Voltage and Low Voltage EDS from conception to production. Responsibilities include:
Leading the development of Low Voltage and High Voltage EDS and EVSE Equipment.
Liaising with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, component engineers, technical specialist and Engineers from Electrical to define & Specify EDS requirements.
Supporting the development of new Electric Vehicle Supply equipment and components, including vehicle inlets and charging cables.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of the EDS Development process, circuit definition, device transmittals, harness protection, manufacturing and service constraints.
Knowledge of Electrical Vehicle Supply equipment components.
Understanding of DV requirements and methods.
Experience of Component Release processes & Issue management.
Good communication skills, written, graphical and verbal.
Good Project Management Skills.
Candidates should hold an Engineering Degree or Appropriate level of Qualification in an Electrical Engineering Field.

Previous EDS Lead Engineer Experience.
Experience of delivering Electrical Distribution systems, both LV and HV.
Experience of apply quality methods and tools to ensure robust component delivery e.g. PFMEA, FMEA, APQP.
Project management and supply management experience - delivery to meet technical, timing and cost targets.
Component Development / Problem investigation and problem solving

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of Vesys would be advantageous but not essential.
Previous Experience of delivering HV Systems.
