The Role:
The electrical engineer is a member of the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Reliability and Maintenance (R&M) team tasked with the responsibility of developing robust maintenance and inspection (MIT) plans for Client’s topside electrical equipment on four platforms in the GoM. This role will develop and apply Failure Modes and Effects Analysis recommended inspection and test tasks for critical electrical systems. e.g. hazardous area equipment (EX equip), UPS’s, DC systems, VFD’s, power transformers, relays, switchgear, MCC’s, cables, and motors
This role requires extensive knowledge of electrical equipment failure modes and industry recommended inspection and testing techniques. This position will require interface with other team members as a well as functional representatives to provide support in the development of electrical equipment maintenance and inspection plans.

Available Tools:
To support this effort, Client will provide Generic Maintenance Plans, engineering drawings, vendor data, equipment lists, failure data, Maximo access, applicable Client and industry engineering standards (API, IEEE, NETA, etc). These tools with the experience of the GoM R&M team and operations stakeholders form the foundation for this project.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and implement through Maximo appropriate maintenance and inspection test plans to maintain asset capability while minimizing adverse impact on personal safety, environment and production plan delivery.
• Provide technical support to job plan and procedure development for maintenance craft and operations.
• Ensure electrical MIT plans are technical sound and feasible.
• Support development of electrical inspection and test record retention strategy to facilitate reliability analysis.
• Support identification of critical spares.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical reliability and maintenance supporting manufacturing or production operations.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical equipment construction, operation, recommended maintenance and inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards pertaining to the maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment.
• Strong technical writing skills to efficiency produce draft maintenance inspection and test plans for approval.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
BSEE degree preferred; however candidates with equivalent experience will be considered
