The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
An enthusiastic individual is required to work within the Connected Infotainment Team. The suitable candidate will be responsible for requirements capture, analysis and management of activities commencing at the start of the project. The role also requires the candidate to monitor, trace and review the status of requirements throughout the development life cycle.

Working in a fast moving environment, this role will include liaison with third party suppliers of mobile apps, ensuring requirements are cascaded and validated across a wide range of cross-functional teams. The role will involve: DOORS and RMDV management, Clearquest management, Issue tracking (AIMs) management and Interface with other areas of the business (e.g. IT, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering etc) and external partners (e.g. software vendors).

Key responsibilities: Liaise with all stakeholders to record and capture user and product requirements that are desired for new systems and to enhance to existing products. Create and maintain user and product requirements documents and specifications within the agreed systems engineering process and activities using requirements management tools, such as DOORS and Clearquest. Work with the Systems Architects to create the definition of architectures to meet the product requirements and elicit system requirements.

Liaise with development teams to refine and elaborate system requirements into detailed requirements suitable for the development teams to engineer. Have involvement in managing requirements changes, including impact analysis and change control of documents. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, such as management and project team members, understanding their needs and to ensure that the technical solution vision becomes shared. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to attending change control board reviews, supporting creation of validation test cases, supporting development teams to clarify requirements, tracing requirements through the development stages. Expected to work on multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of one or more RMDV tools e.g. DOORS, Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, ClearCase or ClearQuest
- Knowledge of system engineering processes and techniques including requirements elicitation, functional modelling and use of tools/methods such as DOORS, UML, IDEF0 and QFD.
- Experience of delivering projects in a recognised project management framework
- Analytical and conceptual expertise
- Knowledge of business processes and IT project methodologies associated with mobile apps.
- 2-3 years experience in Web/App development
- Commercial software development experience (browser, webkit and web server)
- Proven commercial software development experience
- Excellent knowledge in information architecture, data management and UI
- A track record of delivering successful consumer and or business products
- Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
- A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging automotive ap
