The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The software engineer will be tasked with producing working prototypes of next generation, internet-connected infotainment features. This will integrating both consumer electronics devices and built in vehicle technologies, in line with the Company's mobile app strategy. Being part of a 'future vision' team, the engineer will have the opportunity to work on pioneering projects, embracing new and emerging technologies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Development experience, using one or more of Apple iOS, Android SDKs
- Experience of using and integrating native and Web Services APIs into mobile applications
- Experience of end to end user-oriented application design
- Web development experience, including working knowledge of on or more: MVC abstraction, HTML5 and CSS3, MySQL or equivalent data storage systems
- Experience of writing system requirements, including use of one or more: UML/SysML and DOORS
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following OS: Linux, QNX, Tizen
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently and be part of a team
- Interface with internal, external suppliers and developers
- Innovative mind set, ability to portray future vision / roadmap
- General office PC (Word, Excel, Power point, Microsoft Project)
- Interest in CE devices and an appreciation of integrating technology into premium automotive products
- Familiarity with cloud computing

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years mobile app development experience
- Experience in the vehicle or mobile Infotainment/CE
- Excellent knowledge in information architecture, data management and UI
- A track record of delivering successful consumer and or business products
- Ability to multi task and good time management skills
- Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments, locally and internationally
