The Company:
We are currently looking for a Applications Engineer for one of our automotive clients in the Midlands.

The Role:
Applications Engineer reporting to the Manager of the Instrumentation Services Group. Supporting and working with a small team of engineers and fitters on a variety of vehicles and engines e.g. Chassis (Brakes), Power Train, Electrical.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Advice and support in response to engine and vehicle related measurement enquiries and requests. Advise on the application of sensors such as temperatute, pressure, displacement, load, voltage & current Management.

Will have a broad based knowledge of instrumentation/sensors and their applications.

Preferably a Degree or HND/HNC in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or Physics.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Organisation of the planning, preparation and coordination of instrumentations input into a vehicle build/'s Creation/development of data logging systems and programs in readiness for the customers test requirements Day to day support and trouble shooting.

Preferably a proven instrumentation or electrical background from the automotive industry Ability to work to tight timeframes in a challenging multi-task environment.

Time served Instrumentation apprentice, and /or, the ability to demonstrate support of a similar role elsewhere.
