Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer you will act as a functional practitioner and take responsibility for the technical excellence of service delivery. You will have regular Interaction with the Control & Electrical team to ensure compliance with all technical, commercial, and contractual aspects of product delivery.

Key duties & responsibilities:


• Work with customers to shape and define solutions based on a good understanding of the customer environment
• Innovate with the client to help deliver improvements
• Shape and align the functional offering to best meet the client needs
• Manage relationships with the client at an Engineering level
• Take a consultative approach to business development – assist the Control & Electrical department in developing and marketing their Electrical capability
• Manage yourself and others to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Provide technical leadership including awareness of emerging legislation
• Pay particular attention to product & service development to ensure a market leading portfolio is available
• Support the development and application of new technology to benefit customers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Status.
• Min 7 - 10 years relevant experience.
• Sector knowledge to include Oil & Gas, Power and Chemical.
• Experienced functional practitioner
• Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
• Experience of Autocad and MS office software

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• In depth knowledge of Electrical protection systems
• In depth knowledge of Electrical Power Systems Design, including sizing calculations and specification of Medium Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchgear, distribution transformers, Motor Control Centre, DC Power systems, Uninterrupted Power supply and Diesel Generator systems.
• Experience of Amtech software suite
