The Company:
Our Client is a Global operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Essential Job Functions:
• Provides electrical engineering support to the technical department for operational problem solving – long and short term.
• Provides electrical engineering support to ensure the design and construction of all projects is completed to the relevant codes and industry standard
• Provides electrical engineering expertise for technical and safety meetings and accident or incident inquiries.
• Recommends solutions for long term electrical engineering problems.
• Assists in planning major overhauls of process plant.
• Monitors the power generation/distribution facilities.
• Recommends changes to operating and maintenance procedures.
• Recommends changes to power generation/distribution equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Reviews collected data from electrical equipment to ensure equipment is operating properly.
• Reviews all modifications to the electrical network to maintain correct co-ordination and discrimination of protection systems.
•Reviews electrical operating practices to ensure and maintain safe operation and maintenance of the electrical equipment.
• Investigates all electrical trip or abnormal events and incidents to verify correct operation of protection systems and make corrective recommendations when necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer status preferred.
At least 5 years experience in an electrical operational support department, preferably in the oil/gas industries. Must have experience of power generation and distribution equipment operation and maintenance (up to 30kV)
At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering design and project implementation department, preferably in the oil/gas industries.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Additional experience/requirements:
• Fluent in English
• French (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
