The Role:
Job Description: "HIGH LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: In February 2013, acquired a 50 percent- owned and operated interest in the Kitimat LNG project and pro- posed Pacific Trail Pipeline, and a 50 percent nonoperated working interest in 644,000 total acres (2,606 sq km) in the Horn River and Liard shale gas basins in British Columbia. The Kitimat project is planned to include a two-train, 10.0 million-metric-ton-per-year LNG facility, and at the time of acquisition, FEED activities were in progress. The Electrical Engineer will be a member the LNG Plant Engineering Team, reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer, that provides support for the Kitimat LNG Plant Project from CPDEP Phase 3 (FEED) through Phase 4 (detailed design). Position will serve as a Company representative, in the Contractor's office and will be part of a multi-functional project team. Responsible for providing techncial review of the electrical design of substations including transformers, swichgear and breakers, UPS systems, power management / load shedding, transmission and distribution systems ensuring that it meets and British Columbia codes, standards and specifications, basis of design and safety standards. Reviews contractor's key discipline deliverables and works with Lead Electrical Engineer to ensure project requirements are met. " .
Education: Degreed Engineer
Experience: Experience - Major capital project experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams, including contractors and vendors, through detailed design and fabrication. Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced Project environment.
Preferred Skills: Technical - Degreed engineer with about 10 years experience with electrical design is required. Familiar with industry and Company standards, specifications, and guidelines for electrical equipment.

The position will be located initially in Houston during Phase 3. Depending on EPC award, the position will be located in Houston, TX, Yokohama, Japan or Calgary, Canada.
