The Role:
Our client is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Engineer opening. The position will be assigned various electrical projects, maintenance support, etc., possibly including the Crude Oil Flexibility Program to assist with the Design, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.

• Assist the COF Project Engineers to execute the COF Program.
• Review engineering drawings, equipment data sheets, vendor selection, bid packages and project documents for new equipment and confirm adherence to specifications/standards.
• Insures fabrication of equipment and field installation are completed per design documents and company specifications, industry standards, guidelines and procedures,
• Follow/expedite fabrication of equipment and perform shop visits and witness acceptance tests as required.
• Supports the ongoing operation of the refinery for maintenance and reliability of electrical equipment.
• Will manage project and reliability items as individual projects as well as with other engineers electrical project needs.
• Will have input into refinery electrical specifications and deviations, safety and environmental aspects of the project.
• Define project scope, objectives, and execution plan.
• Design engineering including specification development.
• Requisitioning goods and services and expediting delivery.
• Participate in the PSM program including Process Safety Reviews and Hazard Analysis.
• Coordination of commissioning activities.
• There is potential travel time of up to 5%.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years Electrical Engineering background preferred.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in refining and/or petrochemical industry preferred.
• Fundamentals of mechanical, electrical and civil engineering.
• Directing engineering firms and construction companies.
• Estimating, scheduling, and cost engineering.
• Functional PC skills including spreadsheets and email.
• Direct procurement of goods and services.
• Working knowledge of industry standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Initiative.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals, and to identify and resolve problems.
