The Role:
To formulate and implement electrical maintenance strategies and plans to safeguard the technical integrity of assets, establish equipment availability targets, provide maintenance input to projects, determine electrical training requirements with a goal to minimising production costs and deferment.
Optimise life cycle expenditure costs and inclusion of HSE hazard analysis in maintenance plans.

• To establish appropriate maintenance strategies and plans to safeguard asset integrity over the long term.
• Develop and maintain the electrical & HVAC maintenance improvement plan. Make sure that there is continual improvement in the maintenance strategies, methods and outcomes.
• Verify adherence to electrical & HVAC maintenance and operations procedures, standards, MJRs etc.
• Assure, through reviews and audits the integrity status of all critical electrical equipment/ activities.
• To provide input to front-end engineering in the development of PDPs and BFDs.
• Provide electrical & HVAC technical expertise in support of field operations activities in Asset Units.
• Conduct and provide support to Asset integrity review such as FSR audits, FAIR etc
• Provide on the job training and coaching for local staff, GFEs and students
• To identify and evaluate new electrical technologies and concepts for existing production installations
• Review and provide maintenance input to conceptual electrical & HVAC designs
• To raise safety awareness and ensure HSE considerations are addressed in maintenance work activities
• To undertake electro-technical and safety audits of oil and gas facilities.
• To monitor and advise on environmental issues associated with CFC reduction.
• To provide technical input to the Electrical Equipment Standardisation committee for the evaluation and procurement of electrical equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BSc degree in electrical engineering

* Technical professional with 7-10 years discipline experience in oil and gas industry.
* Good interpersonal, supervisory communications and coordinating skills.
* Full understanding of HSE management principles and its application
* Working knowledge of all relevant oil & gas HSE regulations including procedures and instructions
* A combination of strong technical, analytical and innovative skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Good communication skills and aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
