The Company:
Our client is a major operator in the Oil & Gas industry.

The Role:
The Electrical Engineering duties will include but not be limited to the following:
• This position will be responsible for determining the project case selection and selected case for managing loads, load forecasting, relay coordination and studies, and arc flash studies on HV and LV power distribution systems. Works closely with the local OPS, FE and MRI groups that look after the existing assets insuring that project objectives align with business needs.
• Approves electrical project MOC’s, provides recommendations and guidance regarding local MRI and OPS FE representing MCP activity. Insuring that life integrity is maintained with selected project cases throughout the project execution.
• Achieves project electrical operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews to both the vendors and OPS; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change.
• Meets and insures that project electrical operational financial objectives are achieved by forecasting project electrical engineering requirements.
• Maintains existing electrical systems with project additions by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repairs; coordinating shut-downs and installations.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with local codes and legal regulations.
• Updates discipline knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating master copy of all electrical power distribution drawings, specifications, relay protection settings.
• Maintain licensed software library and update it as required.
• Maintain and update Operating and Maintenance Manual as required.
• Accomplishes electrical engineering human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Ensures State Regulatory Compliance of electrical organization, personnel certification and licensing, and operational procedures.
• Responsible for creating, conducting, and evaluating electrical emergency response drills, documenting accordingly.
• Actively participants in investigation team or Root Cause Failure Analysis.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
a) Holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and is a Chartered Electrical Engineer

a) Experience working in an operating company
b) Experience managing personnel and/or driving contractor to get results .
c) Experience with Best Safety Electrical / Maintenance practices.
d) Extensive knowledge of industry standards related to electrical intergrity management including best practices for standards and procedures for UK offshore
e) Experience in Engineering/Design, Maintenance/Operation or Commissioning of HV and LV Electrical Systems.
f) Experience working as team lead/Supervisor/Superintendent
g) Experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry
h) Experience of major greenfield and brownfield capital projects in pre-FEED and FEED related to the offshore oil industry for floating and fixed installations.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner to keep Company personnel abreast of ongoing operations. High level in “moral character, ability, diligence, performance”. Evaluation; familiar with all aspects of power systems and apparatus, load flow and short circuit calculations, applications, and supporting systems; have experience working with commissioning of high power electrical systems and process operations; have good organization and interpersonal communication skill.
