The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Support technical discussions with Navigation/Location-based services (LBS) alliances & international projects. Publishing requirements and information to infotainment organisation. Contribute to the LBS Expert Group with GENIVI, and support other groups: review and contribute to the LBS specification, ensuring that OEM Requirements are captured. Involved with and remain aware of progress for all group work streams, feedback status for projects to GENIVI to the OEM as required. Attend weekly Telephone and Webex conferences, Face to Face group meetings. Maintaining information about group and project status. Ensure that Requirements are captured within the relevant GENIVI work streams. Disseminating and feeding back information about the GENIVI work streams to the OEM, include pushing and pulling requirements to and from GENIVI Expert Groups. Feeding information to other Navigation Teams within the OEM. Contribute to International Research projects e.g. PINPOINT.

Skills Required:
Good Communicator. Excellent writing skills. Conceptual and analytical thinker. Computer Science/Programming skills C++,UML,XML, HTML LINUX, TCP/IP Cloud computing, Web technology.

Experience Required:
System/Software Architecture (+5 years). Embedded systems (+ 5 years). Navigation systems (+2 years). Experience with defining Interface specifications/APIs. Experience working in international organisations.

Experience Preferred:
Experience with European FP7 projects and similar. Automotive Infotainment systems.

Education Required:
Preferably MSc Computer Science/Electronics, or similar
