The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Advanced parking features core technical delivery for 14/15/16MY vehicle programmes. This role works alongside the Parking Assistance Project Engineer for the afore mentioned vehicle programmes. The position the candidate is applying for is to support new electrical technology integration into Company vehicle-lines. The electrical technologies will support a range of new and exciting parking features that the Company will be integrating into vehicle lines over the next few years. Primary responsibility is to support the feature integration work required in order to ensure the new technology will seamlessly integrate into the vehicle electrical architecture and function according to the customer requirements whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- The functional specification, feature development and the feature integration plan
- The customer HMI interaction with the camera system
- Quality analysis and testing (Quality History, DFMEAs, Failure Mode Avoidance)
- Development of test plans and test methods according to the functional/system requirements
- Conduct and support vehicle/system/component testing and generating test reports (or develop the test methods/plan for a test engineer to follow and execute)
- Issue identification, investigation and escalation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Vehicle diagnostic skills, including ability to use laptop-based diagnostic tools e.g. Canalyser
- Ability to assimilate and process large quantities of data
- Willingness and ability to present and report out to all Management levels
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Team player
- Ability to work in high-pressure environment and to challenging deadlines
- Highly organised
- Good communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Able to build relationships with suppliers
- Self motivated & enthusiastic with a proactive approach
- Able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
- Creative in solving problems
- Applicants will have significant experience in an engineering environment following company delivery processes
- Knowledge of Driver Assistance Features
- Understanding of the Global Product Development System (GPDS)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience of Jaguar/Landrover processes and methods (e.g. AIMS, WERS, FMS) - i.e. existing user
- Working knowledge of automotive ultrasonics and driver assistance systems; vehicle system architecture; component design and validation
- Full and clean driving license
- Experience with vehicle test tools e.g. CANalyser, CANoe, dSpace, Simulink
