The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:

Reporting to the VCATS Manager and working as part of a multi skilled team, across all of the manufacturing sites, the successful candidate will take the lead on current car activities and so responsibilities will include;
• Overseeing the team of on site engineers
• Planning for the introduction of new models and providing hands-on, track side support during early builds and launch phases.
• Planning for the introduction of new models and support on track build activities.
• Manage VCATS deliverables so that they are compliant with programme milestones.
• Represent VCATS to present programme status at launch management meetings.
• Providing support to the manufacturing team for the prompt resolution of vehicle test issues.
• Working closely with manufacturing to ensure processes are optimised in terms of overall cycle time and smooth operator work patterns.
• Managing the introduction of new part numbers (hardware and software) resulting from engineering change and model year actions

Skills Required:
• Experience of integrated vehicle electrical test systems and strategies.
• Presentation and communication: ability to clearly articulate programme status and effectively explain complex ideas at a senior level.
• Team Player.
• Able to work with an established team of engineers from a diverse range of backgrounds and with a wide range of skills and experiences.
• Resilience: Self motivated and determined to achieve results whilst working in an environment of competing objectives and timescales.

Skills Preferred:
• IT / Networking, Programming, Vehicle Diagnostics

Experience Preferred:
• Automotive OEM / Tier 1 or 2 experience Manufacturing Engineering experience Vehicle / Component / Module Engineering

Education Preferred:
• Educated to Degree level in relevant discipline.
