The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The role is based in the rear radar element of the driver assistance (DAS) team.
The team are responsible for the rear radar system that provides warnings of other vehicles within and behind the host vehicles blind spot.
The team are also responsible for the cross traffic alert feature used in parking scenarios.
The successful candidate will report to the Driver Assistance group leader.
The role primarily is one of managing the integration of the rear radar system into multiple vehicle lines, this involves:
As a Rear Radar project engineer you will manage the integration of the rear radar system onto a range of vehicles from PS into production
You will design and release the integration solutions with support from CAD designers and the supplier
You will report project progress to Module leaders and the DAS management
You will lead the test programmes on your vehicle lines with support from the wider team
You will support the design and introduction of new features and performance improvements to the radar system.
You will manage and resolve issues on your vehicle lines, escalating where required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of quality tools
Able to work within a team including both and Supplier Team members.
Able to deliver and lead projects
Good spoken and written communication
Knowledge of software development and release.
Worked in an automotive environment before
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A good understanding of processes (Releasing, AIMS, PCS, eFDVS / RMDV^2)
Understanding of Radar systems
Ability to use software tools (i,e, ASL, Canalyser)
Worked on radar systems before
