The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
Restraints System Electrical Engineer

Skills Required:
Manage Airbag ECU and Crash Sensor delivery across vehicle lines. Liaise with other Electrical areas to ensure robust delivery of safety systems. Liaise with Body Electronics leaders on programme status. Liaise with various Centre of Competencie's (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Engineering, etc) to ensure robust delivery of safety systems across vehicle lines. Develop robust system specifications (both internal and with suppliers) to meet feature requirements. Develop robust DVM/DVP for safety system validation. Develop and maintain Manufacturing & Service documentation. Support Vehicle Safety in Crash Car sign-off at sites and on occasion Milbrook/Mira Support system design activities (FMEA, etc.) Support Electrical led warranty investigations.

Skills Preferred:
Understanding of WERS and component release procedures. Processes such as AIMS, eFDVS, WERS, etc.

Experience Required:
Have an electrical or electronics background. Thorough understanding of system engineering principles. Understanding of system design principles. Familiarity with system development tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, Intrepid etc.). Ability to understand CAD information to resolve packaging issues. Developed project experience (project management, etc.) Good understanding of software development and integration processes. Good understanding of Vehicle Electrical Architectures.

Experience Preferred:
Strong analytical skills with a structured & disciplined approach to problem solving. A strong team player with the ability to communicate complex technical issues. Be able to form and lead X-Functional Teams including engineers / suppliers / STA / manufacturing. Have good presentation skills. Have ability to assimilate large quantities of data. Be capable of working in a reactive environment. Shall have strong negotiation skills, ability to build relationships with suppliers and across all functions, good communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.

Education Required:
Applicants need to be qualified to and Engineering degree level.

Education Preferred:
Applicants need to be qualified to an Electrical Engineering or similar degree level.
