The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description
Seating Electircal Systems Integration Engineer for forward model programmes, responsible for all electrical seat features and components, interfaces to the vehicle, and associated control systems.

Key Objectives:
- Lead delivery of seating electrical component and feature content across multiple programs
- Manage seat program compliance with electrical gateway deliverables (eg. GRADE, EMC, Circuits, Networks, Diagnostics, Feature definition)
- Lead cross functional teams in the development and delivery of seating HMI elements and control systems
- Lead resolution and closure of Seating electrical issues across all sites and in the field
- Provide technical support in project forums, to Tier1&2 suppliers, and other departments

Skills Required:
Proven Project management capability
- demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget
- Ability to work cross functionally to influence and drive decisions at all levels in the organisation and supply base
- Excellent communications skills
- Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision
- PC Literacy
- Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc

Skills Preferred:
- Engineering knowledge of Seating system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Delivery of components within an electrical environment using electrical processes would be beneficial.
- Trained in and a working knowledge of key engineering tools
- FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc.
- Understanding of project delivery processes
- GPDS / FPDS / PRINCE2 or similar
- Any person supplied should have a valid UK driving licence and meet medical requirements

Experience Required:
- Successful history of project delivery
- Understanding of and ability to interpret electrical circuit diagrams

Experience Preferred:
- Ideally experienced in the automotive sector or adjacent industries, eg rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc
- Delivery of complex electrical systems and interfaces including software
- Vehicle architecture design, network communications, and diagnostics
- Electrical system validation
- Labcar/breadboard testing, EMC compliance

Education Required:
- Ideally degree educated in an engineering discipline
