The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:

Electrical System Engineering - working on DSP+microcontroller based module for system integration into vehicles. Work within a team on development and delivery of an enhanced powertrain sound while working in a prestigious Automotive Research environment Liaise with colleagues in Product Development to ensure a timely, accurate and robust design is delivered to Product Engineering through use of a stringent in-house Design and Development Process.

Skills Required:
- Electronic System design, release and verification.
- Integration with vehicle CAN networked systems.
- Development experience and issue resolution.
- Automotive CAN bus knowledge and network integration experience.
- Should have experience delivering engineering solutions, preferably within product engineering.
- System Specifications, ESOW, RFQ, FMEA, DVP, EMC, CANbus and Diagnostics experience prefered.

Experience Required:
- Degree qualified Electrical Systems Engineer with work experience in a sophisticated Automotive Engineering (Development) Environment.
- Employed Automotive Design Processes, Procedures and Standards.
- Development and Delivery of new Electronic Control Module (ECU) based systems into Product Engineering.

Experience Preferred:
- Audio amplifier and electro-mechanical component experience, Development of Technical Design Specifications with Suppliers Working with advanced vehicles prototypes, X1 and M1 builds, writing of DVP and test plans.
- Full understanding of vehicle system architectures, CAN Bus and timing analysis tools.
- Knowledge of and experience using FMEA process to capture design errors and effect of noise factors on functional performance with technical issue resolution.
- Understanding of automotive work processes, gateways and vehicle program timing plans (preferably GPDS, from PS gateway onwards) Appreciation of EMC Specifications and Test Methods.
- Computer literate; good working proficiency with all MS Office applications.

Education Required:
Bsc / HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
