The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world.

The Role:
Please note that this position is RESIDENT STATUS

• Study, Monitor, and Draw valid conclusions from, industry-specific global best practice within the specialised discipline to provide engineering solutions.
• Provide Company with technical leadership in the specialised discipline to support the Company in its maintenance and development of competencies, which make significant contribution to the achievement of business objectives and safety goals.
• Provide guidance, where appropriate pro-actively, to the Company and to fellow professionals, by acting as the focus of technical reference in ones area to support, maintain and develop the achievement of professional standards. Person shall have sufficient experience in the field of Electrical Engineering to manage
Projects and to provide recommendations for various technical issues related to plant operations, project group and to plant start-up and commissioning group.

• Input expertise to strategies, policies and processes relevant to the area of expertise to support the achievement of business and professional objectives.
• Identify opportunities for engineering improvements and investigate and support developments and improvements identified by others, all as a basis for effective and efficient implementation within the accountable budgets.
• Address, solve, or lead teams in the solution of, the most technically demanding problems in the discipline to provide significant added value.
• Ensure that all specialized technical know-how is kept up to date in order to deliver all other accountabilities..
• Lead and manage mentoring activities in the specialized discipline so as to maximize the effective transfer of expertise (knowledge, skills) to others particularly to national trainees and developees.

• Regular meetings with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and contractors.

• Member and participant in cross-organisational Measurement Team.

• The work will also involve appropriate strategy and policy inputs, advice and guidance, standard setting, apart from ongoing professional input (including complex problem solving and decision making) either outside or in his own area of direct control. Technical expertise has to be complemented by the practicalities of planning and budgeting for his discipline

• Should be a very good team player with proven technical competence, extensively interacts with within and outside the Company, maintaining an extra-corporate network of technical contacts

• As the pre-eminent internal point of technical reference, is required to reach workable and efficient solutions, to the most difficult problems in the discipline with adequate safety measures.

• The role’s decision making focuses largely on how best to add value in an advisory context to support organization both in safety and related discipline.

• The role is supervised by section Lead. The discipline engineer shall provide technical supervision of discipline- related projects where resources are not under direct control and also shall be a part of start –up and commissioning team to carry out activities to ensure successful commissioning of the LNG plant.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized educational institution with at least 8 years specific experience in Engineering, plant start-up and commissioning.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Business Communication skills (reports/presentations, etc)
• Established global network for contacts in the respective discipline.
• Team player and coach
• Specialist in Electrical system & a working knowledge of appropriate international standards such as IEC,IEEE BS,NFPA etc.
• In-depth knowledge in Hazardous area classified equipment for electrical & instrument application
• At least 10 years working experience with the majority experience gained in the oil and gas industry.
• Computer literate with knowledge of SAP and commonly used Microsoft business software packages.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and
