The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Organisation - Working within the NGI software team under the guidance of a group leader. Activity - Technical leadership of software development & maintenance activities in conjunction with and supplier/partner teams focused on creating, debugging and optimising a robust automotive embedded Bluetooth & Telephony subsystem Communication - This lead role will involve extensive written and verbal collaboration and coordination across multiple software supplier/partners. All work and output produced shall be the property of the client.

Skills Required:

1.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to confer complex technical and procedural topics in a clear and concise form

2.Excellent problem solving abilities, including leadership of problem solving activities across multiple teams

3.Ability to author & review technical software documentation (including requirements, high level designs, and test strategies)

Experience Required:
•Leadership of software development teams in a technical and preferably also project management capacity
•Familiarity of IVI Bluetooth & Telephony software functionality, User/HMI & CE Device interactions, and challenges
•Fault finding & root cause analysis on embedded real-time products
•Degree or similar education in engineering or IT field"

Experience Preferred:

•Extensive Bluetooth & Telephony domain knowledge in Automotive-relevant environment
•Project Management of multiple workstreams within a delivery focused software team, developing & tracking plans, driving & coordinating development activities
•Experience with embedded software product development involving Open Source IVI software
•Competent in operation of Bluetooth air trace / sniffer tools to capture, analyse & resolve problems"
