The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
• Provide overall electrical engineering technical leadership and expertise in St. John’s
• Steward the EPC contractor's activities with respect to electrical
• Development and design of the electrical system
• Development of the schedule, recommended deliverables, and labor hour estimate for electrical
• Measurement and reporting of physical progress
• Selection, specification, FAT testing, and inspection of electrical equipment
• Procurement of tagged items including preparation of specifications, bid evaluations, bid tabulations, bid recommendations, etc.
• Estimates for weight control report
• Participate in technical specification preparation
• Ability to travel to work sites if business need requires.

The Electrical Engineer stewards all phases of electrical engineering. The engineer ensures that the Project's requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications, are carried out in a timely manner. Stewards electrical engineering aspects of the Project with other discipline leads on the Project Management Team, as necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
10+ years of closely related professional engineering experience
3+ years of which should be at a Senior electrical Level

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts
Applicable codes, standards, and trade practices
Selection and application of hardware in electrical area
Oil and gas industry experience is preferred
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
