The Company:
Our client is a major Oil & Gas operator, active worldwide working to meet the world's growing demand for energy by exploring for oil and natural gas, refining and marketing gasoline, producing chemicals and researching renewable technologies.

The Role:
Job Scope
Provide technical engineering information to Company construction supervision and craft to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction applicable to one or more work disciplines. Act as the primary engineering contact to address and coordinate all Requests for Information from the contractors. Provide coordination, mentoring, and management to less experienced field engineers.

Job Responsibilities

• Reports directly to Deputy Project Manager - Onshore.
• Actively champions safety.
• Issue weekly and monthly reports on the field design documentation changes.
• Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records, such as status report, punch list items describing work to be done, sketches of work already completed, material calculations, etc.
• Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction of facilities in the oil and gas sector. Interpret design/drawings for the project crafts installing material.
• Expert review and endorsement of the design change requests (as part of his(her) specialization*) received from the Contractor, including checking of the DD documents, substantiations, sketches, specifications, engineering calculations, etc. Perform the engineering calculations, design the assemblies, schemes, details and structures as required.
• Check the Contractor's as-built drawings and diagrams, as well as their development, if necessary.
• Comprehend subcontractor scope of work, terms, and technical requirements during performance of work
• Good communication skills (written and oral) including technical communication.
• Address and resolve the technical issues for design (within his(her) specialization *) on the basis of the DD documents, specifications, standards and other engineering documentation
• Tracking new revisions of the DD documentation (as part of his(her) specialization *), as well as identifying the design drawings to be updated and re-issued.
• Work coordination, information exchange, discussion and approval of the accepted design solutions with the Author's Supervision of the Design Institutes (John Brown E & C Ltd and KXM)
• Joint work with the Contractors to expedite items as necessary to meet construction schedule.
• Facilitate technical approvals by engineers of other department, client, Authorship supervision to provide timely response and adhere to project schedule
• Reviews and manages contractually required Engineering documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
• Work closely with QA/QC representatives with regard to the Contractor’s Equipment Dossiers
• Interface with the representatives of the construction disciplines and quality control in reviewing the engineering issues and adoption of the engineering solutions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Job Logistics
• Full-time Residency in Novorossiysk.
• Work Schedule = Irregular Working Hours / 5 days per week with occasional overtime as needed
• Anticipated Start Date = May 2012
• Projected End Date: 2015.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Higher technical education in accordance with the position specified in the Job Description, understanding and skills of engineering design
• Working experience in the field engineering or design department, or in Author Supervision, or in Design Institute.
• Knowledge of construction activities including material, equipment, cost and time requirements to perform construction tasks
• Knowledge of codes and specifications that apply to Oil and Gas Industry
• 8 to 15 years of related construction industry experience.
• Tenacity to overcome obstacles.
• Interpersonal/communication skills to interface with colleagues at all levels without creating conflict.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Applications (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to pass Russian Federation Labor Safety Training and Industrial Safety Training (Category A and B2 in particular)
• Mandatory requirement - fluency in written and spoken Russian. (English skills a plus)
