The Role:
• Performing Engineer’s role on products and general engineering issues, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and meet statutory requirements.
• Specification, release for purchasing / build and test, checking / approval, progress reports.
• Compliance with company procedures, statutory regulations and project specifications while, while keeping to standard approach (existing designs where possible) and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Carry out FEED studies. Prepare bid concept design, technical write-ups. Assist with estimates of effort and best technical solution.
• Establish client requirements for Electrical products (e.g. Subsea Electronic Module, Electrical Power Unit, Master Control Station) from specification, and incorporate these requirements into drawing packs and acceptance test documents.
• Provide Technical support to projects and manufacturing.
• When required assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Integration Testing (FIT).
• Maintain and improve knowledge of industry and company.
• Monitor the company’s engineering processes, procedures and advise on improvements.
• Monitoring trends and new products in the marketplace and recommend change if necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or HNC/HND with relevant industry experience
• Knowledge of Network Systems and Network Specifications.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Control Systems and PLC/SCADA Control Systems.
• System design experience.
• Knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and databases.
• Experience in working to ISO9001 quality standards.
• Proven involvement with multi-disciplined Projects.
• Analysis of network and power distribution by hand or by computer programs.
• Relevant, demonstrable Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Experience in all aspects of project lifecycle from start-up to completion.
• Ability to communicate with engineers/clients at all levels.
• Be able to establish, maintain and develop customer relations.
