The Role:
Our client is currently looking for a temporary Electrical/ICA Engineer with a broad-ranging background in the Water industry to join their Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) team in Warrington for a minimum 6 month period.

Responsibilities:
The role of an Electrical/ICA Engineer within the MEP business will require the individual to undertake the following duties:

Feasibility, outline and detailed electrical and C&I design work.
Electrical switchgear panel/MCC specification and design.
Control and instrumentation systems functional specification and design.
Understanding, interpreting and responding to the needs of other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, process and civil.
Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:

Specifications
Single line diagrams
Load schedules
Block Cable diagrams
P&IDs
Control philosophies
Instrument schedules
Control system & communications block diagrams
Undertake site surveys of existing installations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential criteria
Educated to degree level and either chartered or working towards chartership
Computer literate and able to work effectively work with the basic Microsoft suite of programmes as a minimum
Demonstrable experience within the water engineering sector
Nuclear experience advantageous but not essential.
Proven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as some experience technically i.e. calculations
Good commercial awareness
Proven ability and experience in providing a customer focussed service and ensuring clients are satisfied

Requirements
The individual candidate will be computer literate and able to work effectively work with the basic Microsoft suit of programmes as a minimum.
Candidates must have extensive design experience within the Water Industry sector including in areas such as potable water production and distribution, waste water treatment and sludge

Personal Qualities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal employees and external clients.
Ability to be flexible and to be able to multi-task and prioritise when necessary.
Positive outlook and approachable manner.
Well motivated, able to work as part of a team or in isolation when required.
