The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:
Working on a 28/28 rotation basis, duties will include:

• Assist with development and delivery of high quality discipline specific training packages, course materials (theoretical and practical), procedures and assessments in liaison with the line(s) and other discipline trainers where required, in order to meet the identified learning and development needs of the company’s discipline skill pool.
• Conduct Classroom and Workplace assessments of discipline personnel in line with organizational competency requirements required to progress Electrical discipline staff to the desired competence levels in line with National Occupational Standards.
• Participates in the evaluating process for all training programs as executed by vendors, consultants and SMEs to ensure continuous improvement.
• Identify individuals’ progress against the required Competencies and identify shortfalls within the competence requirements and report the recommended corrective action to the MTC Training Coordinator.
• Assist with the development of Tasks and Targets, Specific Training Objectives and related Underpinning Knowledge associated with the set task.
• Provide on the Job Coaching & Mentoring to individuals to ensure they achieve their learning objectives based on the individual development plan.
• Maintain accurate & comprehensive records of individuals Progress & Performance as it relates to all classroom and OJT related activities.
• Be active in suggesting ways of continually improving the training programs and materials

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognized qualification (min of a Diploma) in an electrical engineering subject
• Significant relevant industrial experience (10 to 15 yrs)
• Significant previous training/teaching experience in a classroom environment (5 yrs)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational and IT skills
• A1 Assessor (D32/D33) or V1 Internal Verifier (D34) qualifications desirable
• Native English Speaker / Arabic speaking is a desirable
• Previous Middle East experience an asset
• Strong team player who can communicate effectively with students, client and fellow training team members
• Oil & gas/petrochemical/chemical industry desirable (ie upstream or downstream processing,
manufacturing engineering, process engineering, maintenance engineering, plant discipline training
