The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source an Electrical, Instrument & Metering Engineer to provide engineering support as part of the team responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all plant and associated equipment.

• Work directly for the project owner
• Permanent Staff Position
• FIFO to Chinchilla

The Electrical, Instrument & Metering engineer will provide engineering support and maintain awareness of the company's infrastructure and future developments. Working for the project owner you will liaise with counterparts and other parties to ensure technical specifications relating to the work scope are met.

Typically, the incumbent will ensure all plant and equipment is operated within the design parameters. You will act as part of the engineering team responsible for providing key technical advice.

Main responsibilities:
• Engineer for all electrical, instrument & metering related changes
• Ensuring all physical plant and equipment is operated within the design requirements through providing technical advice
• Liaising with key stakeholders and keep up to date with developments in the organisation
• Establishing and maintaining design procedures to confirm compliance
• Developing new coal bed methane specific procedures and operating practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and Instrument Engineering (or equivalent) and relevant experience in a similar role
• High voltage experience and licensed to isolate & switch high voltages
• Experience evaluating and advising on non invasive maintenance strategies and interpreting condition based monitoring data
• Experience of Permit to Work (PTW) systems

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered member of relevant engineering institution and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
• Experience working on major LNG projects in Australia
