The Role:
• Responsible for assisting in assuring the Electrical technical integrity of all Talisman facilities, including offshore and onshore process facilities through developing and maintaining electrical systems to ensure there is understanding and compliance with the Technical Integrity Performance Standards.
• Ensure the provision of effective Electrical engineering expertise, directing and controlling Maintenance activities to ensure work is adequately prioritised, planned and executed and that performance targets are met.
• Responsible for the definition of the work scope for Electrical job-packs for routine, non-routine and shutdown tasks and assisting other groups with Electrical input to multi-discipline tasks.
• Review planned maintenance routines and carry out optimisation studies within the Electrical discipline to minimise the cost of maintenance whilst retaining an acceptable level of plant and equipment reliability.
• Ensure all maintenance planned activities are executed in a timely manor, by assisting offshore supervisors to achieve all planning gate criteria.
• Provide clarification of, and responses to technical queries from sites.
• Ensure that all activities are executed in compliance with all current and future offshore legislation, agreements, regulatory and company standards affecting Maintenance activities, and are consistent with best engineering practice
• Provide support on maintenance and certification activities, advising on proposed modifications to facilities.
• Ensure that all appropriate Electrical maintenance and technical records including plant history are updated as required using TMax.
• Provide technical advice and guidance in the field of electrical systems and equipment to production personnel.
• Promote technological innovations that can be economically exploited to improve safety or production performance for Talisman facilities.
• Carry out offshore site visits and risk assessments as appropriate.
• Review the types of stock holding levels of Electrical equipment held as spare parts, and optimise the inventory, stock management and co-ordination of the ordering of spares in conjunction with the Materials and Contracts group.
• Participation in Emergency Response team as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum HND / ideally degree qualified in electrical engineering
• Knowledge of current and developing electrical regulations (IEEE, Electricity at Work) and protocols and how these relate to Production Operations is essential, along with good knowledge of national and international codes and standards relating to electrical engineering where appropriate.
• Ability to travel offshore as required
• Previous operations and maintenance support role experience or electrical offshore supervisory experience, with a North Sea oil and gas operator
• Strong electrical technical experience
