The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the analysis of complex system assembly feasibility on future products and the resolution of A-Surface. Part Assembly & Complex System issues, within a vehicle zone in Final Assembly.

Scope of the Role

• Work closely with SWTs, Engineering and other Pre-Series Centre functions to ensure that assembly feasibility is analysed & validated for critical systems.
• Support concern resolution through VDS process.
• Support for Controlled Build activities.
• Update of production systems.

Qualifications

• The completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or BTEC ONC or HNC in an Engineering discipline.
• Competent in Microsoft Office products.
• Must be Team player who is able to interact with associates at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise and plan workload, and to work without supervision on complex tasks.
• Flexibility in work patterns as the position may involve overtime/shift working in the future.

Experience

• Good general working knowledge of part design, manufacture & assembly for Electrical EDS.
• Proven experience working within automotive manufacturing or design environment.
• Logical approach to problem identification and solving.
• Ideally an appreciation of the CATIA environment (v4/v5).
• Demonstrated a good working knowledge of Design for Manufacture & Assembly.
• Knowledge of production control systems.
• Knowledge of UPS/ test systems.
