The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Electrical Packaging Team Leader Responsible for delivery of robust Electrical Package solutions and escalating shortfalls including Programme gateway risks and assumption changes. Create compatible package solutions for electrical components around the vehicle, fulfilling all electrical requirements and that are acceptable to all other CoCs, Manufacturing, service, Marketing, HMI and design. Secure packaging sign-off of new installations from all stakeholders Ensure all packaging solutions adhere to packaging design standards. Ensure all packages adhere to 6mm static clearance and 18mm dynamic Creation and maintenance of electrical design solutions for a given programme(s). Responsible for the resolution of package incompatibilities. Support the generation and maintenance of programme specific CAE request pack Assist Programme Leader / Engineer & or Module Leader / component owner in the population and maintenance of the DPA tracker. Support weekly reviews to demonstrate CAD data progression / maturity in order for component stakeholder to populate DPA. Support the design of fully production worthy mounting systems that adhere to our design guidelines and meet our durability and timing requirements

Skills Required:
Support the creation of package feasibility and status metrics. Provide all necessary intra and inter Departmental support in delivery of given programme(s). Including preparation and presentation of packaging escalation material for all Project and CPE / CFE reviews (SM sheets). Support the maintenance of Packaging for EDS cost and weight optimisation data sheet. To be included as part of the SM sheet pack Develop and reinforce existing relationships with Vehicle Engineering & APC. Support responsibility to ensure timely and accurate data share into respective areas. Support and resolve any arising package issues from virtual and physical prototype build events. Support the manager with the delivery of Electrical Packaging Process development and improvement projects.

3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Certified Catia V5 or V6 User
2. Negotiation skills to deliver robust Engineering Package solutions.
3. Project Management

Experience Required:
Equivalent of HNC or HND in a Mechanical or Automotive background CAD - Geometry generation (parts and assemblies) Recognised and certified Catia V5 trained

Experience Preferred:
Team Centre (Tce) or Enovia experience Team Leadership Experience in Microsoft Office
