The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
The production control engineer will be responisible for the update of all production control data including Manifest, Autbuild (trim instructions), Software version Management and certification data for CMP, MY and Project. The engineer will need specific understanding of manufacturing control systems to enable data control over mutliple linked systems. In addition the engineer will be responsibl for Electrical testing (compoenents rigs) and software flashing to support production updates of ECUs


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Maximum of 5 relating to products, services etc.)

Responsible for all Manifest updates (CMP & Project), ensuring timely updates & reminders to maintain production flow and seamless introduction of new projects. Interact with either FIS form or INFAS systems & utilise IFA tools. Liaise between Pre Series technical teams to ensure Manifest change request methodology is understood.

Responsible for the auto build system including all updates (CMP & Project), ensuring timely updates & reminders to maintain production flow and seamless introduction of new projects. Ownership of software with interaction with Green March to allow systematic updates. Liaise between Pre Series trim technical team, Tech support and Trim Development. Pre Series input into colour module.

Soft-Ware Version Management
Responsible for all systems changes to ensure the successful electrical test - UPS (alignment to engineering information). The technical manager will implement all changes into the P42 system to ensure that manufacturing and engineering can communicate and process both production and pre series vehicles.
Problem solving skills critical to daily co-ordination of version management issues


Production Control
Responsible for all data updates to support vehicle loading for Pre-Series and Production including Model Years, SEFI & KBSB. (Accountable for loading cars into system at Mosel/ Bratislava)
Responsible for maintenance of production control systems Auto-Build & Manifest, acting as support for team members.
Problem solving skills critical to daily co-ordination of all production control issues



FIS Telegrams (UPS/DC Tools/VIN etch/Autobuild/ DCPs etc) - Understand how all Systems interact and their architecture (including DCP’s, UPS FIS Channels, UPS telegram Hybrid, VIN Stamp, VIN etch, Airbag sewing machines, FIS-eQs.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Good general working knowledge of part design, manufacture & assembly for Electrical EDS (Design for Manufacture & Assembly).
Proven experience working within automotive manufacturing or design environment
Logical approach to problem identification and solving
Computer literate with good technical skills (Appreciation of computer programming & sw packages, i.e. SQL database)
Appreciation of interior colour splits advantageous.


PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of production control systems.
Knowledge of UPS test systems.
Knowledge of Auto-Build & Gerber cutting systems


QUALIFICATIONS

HND/Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related subject
