The Company:
As one of the world’s leading engineering companies, Our Client assists in their customer's use of electrical power and aims to increase industrial productivity in a sustainable way.

The Role:
My client requires the services of an outgoing, motivated Sales Engineer to champion and manage their electrical measuring equipment WA territory. With the objective to grow the region in sales volume, market share and profitability and represent the client in a safe, ethical and professional manner. Expectation is to develop solid customer relationships, sell the complete product portfolio, grow existing accounts, develop new business and win large projects. You will come from a sales background with familiarity with switchgear\switchrooms\LV industry.

Accountabilities
• Achieve the sale targets as outlined within the Regional Sales Budget
• Maintain relationships between the client and it's customers
• Act upon requests from the National Sales Manager
• Maintain the Prosales database
• Develop marketing and sales call strategy
• Reporting
• Participate in tenders, bid submissions, commercial reviews, offers
• Meeting and exceeding sales targets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualities the client wishes to see in you;

• Intense competitor
• Solid understanding of AS3439.1 and AS3000
• Ability to develop solid relationship both internally and externally
• Initiative to visit customers on a daily basis
• Strong verbal, persuasion, communication, negotiation and writing skills
• Initiative to lead, capture competitor accounts and drive change within ABB Measurement Business Unit.
• Instrumentation/ Engineering Trade or Degree Qualifications with 5 years sales experience in switchgear/switchroom/LV industry
• Previous experience in Water, Mining Minerals, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical industries highly regarded
