The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Work directly with JLR engineers, managers, and software quality teams to identify current way of working, plus opportunities for improvement. This spans engineering processes plus the supporting processes & practices. Define, document, review & release effective and relevant software process & practice documentation, compliant with A-SPICE. This includes generic processes as well as project specific tailored process documentation & templates. Creation of governance processes & mechanisms to define key software product development gateways that link project output, stakeholder approval and phased progression. Collaboration with the wider product development and quality teams in support of departmental quality goals

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to work unsupervised; defining, leading and executing appropriate work streams and reporting & reviewing with the department leadership team. Productive worker, able to personally generate appropriate work products with minimal guidance Intimate knowledge of / familiarity with software process maturity models such as A-SPICE or SEI CMM/CMMi Ability to influence local and remote teams in order to drive organisations, team, and individual change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to confer complex technical and procedural topics in a clear and concise form Ability to author & review process documentation
Experience working as an active contributor within software development teams in accordance with mature software development processes Extensive experience of creating & reviewing A-SPICE or CMM compatible software process documentation including generic and tailored processes & templates
Degree or similar education in engineering or quality field

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Background in robust software development, ideally embedded, within a mature production-capable process environment (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace, Medical) Proficient in leading & moderating technical reviews Presentation skills - ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal reports to senior management.
Experience developing & executing software auditing plans. Experience as a software Project Manager, with track record in successful software product delivery
