The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company.

The Role:
Based at an onshore hydrocarbon field in the Basilicata region in Southern Italy at about 200 km South-East of Naples, in a mountainous environment (municipality of Coneto Perticara), during the construction and pre-commissioning phases, some of the main roles and responsibilities will be to:
Supervise construction and installation activities up to pre-commissioning and provide assistance / support to commissioning / start-up personnel.
Ensure that the construction of the plant complies with detailed engineering, contract, schedule, budget and safety requirements.
Avoid contractor stand-by / delays by prompt response to site queries and unexpected technical problems.
Monitor progress and provide expertise and assistance to the Oil Centre Construction Manager.
Implement technical decisions taken during project execution, liaising If necessary with project experts.
Assess the acceptability of any deviation / relaxation requested on site by contractors and provide any clarification when
Organise technical discipline meetings with the contractor and specialists when required.
Monitor the interfaces with all other disciplines in relation to electrical discipline.
Endorse the contractor's construction deliverables, ensuring that they meet project requirements and standards.
Contribute to smooth handover to the Commissioning team.
Supervise the up-dating of project master documentation.
Participate and provide support and expertise in technical reviews.
Ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the construction management and proposing remedial actions.
Contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills in onshore projects.
Comply with the HSE Instructions, rules and procedures In force In the project.
Satisfy the HSE assigned objectives during the execution of construction activities.
Ensure that Company HSE Policy and contractual HSE requirements are enforced within the framework of all site construction
Take an active part in the HSE reporting system towards Anomaly

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Excellent in Italian writing and speaking (preferably native) and fluent in English
• Knowledge of Italian laws and regulations
• At least one industrial experience in Italy, preferably Oil & Gas
• Experience in Power Generation systems (Power Plant / Gas Turbines)
• Experience in Electrical Equipment such as GIS and High voltage Equipment / Transformers
• 10 years of experience in Electrical works supervision
• An Engineering degree or equivalent is a plus
