The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Our client plans to dramatically accelerate the development of in-vehicle UI (user interface) in order to meet and exceed customer expectations within our future vehicle lines. To support this we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a background in agile development. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplined team with the responsibility for design development and delivery of the touchscreen UI for all their future vehicles. The successful candidate will manage the delivery aspect of the project calling on the support of the skills of a variety of teams to ensure the project timing is met for both the 1st implementation and the subsequent upgrades. The position offers an ideal opportunity for a well organised, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to play a key role in the development of a leading edge infotainment system for the premium vehicle sector.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have strong project management skills; managing and resourcing across a wide range of disciplines, and in-depth knowledge and experience of 'Agile' development and UI software architectures and development tools. They should also have experience in delivering functionality for consumer electronics devices or similar and with risk management of complex software development projects. The candidate should also have excellent communication skills at all levels of an organisation, with excellent organisational skills in a dynamic environment and be very good logical and analytical thinking. Be able to work quickly and effectively to a high standards while coping with requirements change and be a good team worker but with ability to work independently in a effective manner when required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
It would be desirable if the candidate has experience in managing multi-location S/W projects across the globe, a formal Project Management qualification. While not essential, a degree in software engineering or subject closely related to consumer electronics would also be desirable.
