The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
To support new software defendant feature integration into our client's vehicle-lines. The features will support a range of new and exciting features that the client will be integrating into its vehicle lines over the coming years. The successful candidate will be working in the area of infra-red camera features development (knowledge of this technology would be desirable).

Primary responsibility is to lead the feature design work required, in order to ensure it will seamlessly integrate into the vehicle electrical architecture; and function according to the customer requirements whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. The selected candidate will be responsible for: -
* Authoring System/Component requirements (based on Customer Description of feature) and reviewing/agreeing with stakeholders
* Featuring concept design and integration into vehicle electrical architecture in accordance with processes and standards (CAN, power supply, electrical circuit, software etc.)
* Quality analysis and testing (Quality History, DFMEAs, Failure Mode Avoidance)
* Development of test plans according to requirements
* Conducting and supporting vehicle/system/component testing and generating test reports
* Issuing identification, investigation and escalation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Applicants will have significant experience in: -
* An engineering environment, following company delivery processes
* Developing software dependent features, delivered through interconnected ECU hardware architectures
* Systems engineering experience and problem solving
* Experience in near-IR cameras
* System engineering skills of electrical architectures
* Familiar with vehicle test tools such as MatLab/Simulink, CANalyser, dSpace and other test tools
* Report writing
* Demonstrate excellent open communication and organisational skills
* Self-motivated with good interpersonal and team working skills
* Full and clean driving licence
* Engineering Degree or above

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in an automotive electrical, electronic and software engineering role
