The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the security & locking LL6, the engineer will be responsible for system ownership of vehicle alarm systems - including intrusion (volumetric) sensor, and alarm sounders. This involves full system support and issue resolution as well as assistance with electrical engineering processes and procedures (GRADE, DT¿s, etc). Role will involve working with suppliers, and system testing on vehicles. Circuit auditing and submission of Device transmittals will be key requirements. Responsibility for DV test planning and testing will form part of the role. The engineer will need to ensure vehicles are requested and test slots booked, as well as being responsible for test results and ensuing issue resolution plans. The role includes component ownership, and supplier management is a necessity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Electical Engineering Procedures and Development practices. Electrical testing and issue resolution Canalyzer, scope usage, ASL. Experience with security or locking systems. Experience with component ownership & supplier management. Can work as part of a close team. Good communicator. Able to function independently and make decisions when required.

Vehicle Alarm & Sounder System Ownership. Lead changes to alarm system cross carline Ensure all affected areas introduce hard and soft changes for agreed build dates. Ensure EDS, and header console changes match to software in control modules. Plan and perform DV testing o Release and specify component parts. Investigate and diagnose alarm issues on vehicles. Respond to AIM system issues. Manage and maintain supplier relationships and quality levels. Support budget targets and quality actions
