Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
Lead Engineer, Reapplication Switchgear . The engineer will own the reapplication of existing designs of accessory sockets, cigar lighters and some items of switchgear into new vehicles or model year freshening activities. Most of the work will be around releasing the parts into the Bill of Materials for the projects they work on, submitting data around the electrical interfaces, for example Device Transmittals for the Electrical Distribution System and ensuring the parts are packaged correctly into the interfacing trim components through the virtual series phases of the programme. In some instances the role involves in minor design changes on these parts. The reapplication engineer is expected to project manage their suppliers to ensure the parts are delivered to the programme gateways. The engineer will be required to work cross functionally with Purchase, STA and other Teams such as manufacturing to resolve any problems or issues that arise are resolved.
KEY SKILLS: Switch Design or Electro-Mechanical Design Skills Working knowledge of Electrical Circuit and Hardware Design Electrical System Interface Design and Diagnosis Skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience Required: Engineering Degree qualified or significant experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in writing engineering specifications and developing boundary diagrams between the interacting components that make up the system. Experience in the application of quality tools such as DFMEA and Robustness Studies Experience in the delivery of commodities or systems onto vehicles or platforms, project management
