Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
"Climate Electronics System Engineer - Responsible for the on time, on quality and on cost delivery of the Climate Electronics system onto new carlines and model years. Develop, Interpret & Apply robust electrical system and component Engineering specifications. Ensure that all targets & requirements are met, Including the need to Develop & Carry out robust sign off DVP tests. Complete RFQ'S, Design Enquiries to obtain feasibility, costs and timing for modifications and engage with Programme and Design teams to agree requirements and deliverables. Produce & manage timing plans to support successful delivery to PCDS deliverable requirements. Coordinate & manage suppliers on design & delivery. Raise and manage engineering releases. Support all builds, virtual and real (including labcar & rigs)."
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Demonstrable technical delivery experience, hardware, software & system delivery.
2. Good Project Management skills.
3. Able to communicate confidently at all levels within the business and the supply base.
Experience Required: "Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Thorough understanding of system engineering principles Good understanding of MUX requirements (CAN, LIN, (GGDS), SWDL, etc.) Previous experience of working within a cross functional team. Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure. Good PC skills and must be IT literate. Full, current driving licence and be able to travel in the UK and abroad for short-term business assignments."
Experience Preferred: " Experience in design, development and project delivery for automotive Climate Electronics components. Delivery experience of hardware, software & system delivery in the automotive industry. Experience of vehicle level fault finding Knowledge of SAP, IBM Rationale with DOORS, Office Suite and circuit design tools Confident in the application of PCDS, DVP and Gateway disciplines. Working knowledge of engineering disciplines and understand and use key delivery systems ( RMDV, WERS, AIMS, AIMS2, GTDS, GPDS, and APQP etc.). Degree qualification"
