The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Electronics System Engineer, working within Chassis Electronics team to deliver system in accordance with program milestone requirements. Manage Electrical System delivery across all company vehicle lines Collating feature requirements and translation into an electrical system design specification Liaise with other Electrical areas (IPC, BCM, EDS, etc.) to ensure robust delivery of the electrical system Ensure requirements on other systems/modules are clearly cascaded and that timing plans are in place to support the system development and delivery Liaise with Chassis to ensure robust delivery of electrical system across all vehicle lines, Ensure Chassis & Electrical plans are aligned Liaise with Chassis Electronics module leader on electrical programme status, AIMS, RMDV, PCS Deliverables status, etc. Develop robust system electrical specifications (both internal and with suppliers). Develop robust DVM/DVP for electrical system validation including HIL development Develop and maintain Manufacturing & Service documentation for the Electrical system Support vehicle proto type build through to Launch support as required Support joint investigations of all issues; in vehicle, HIL, prototype build, AIMS, FMS Take responsibility / drive resolution of issues o Root cause analysis / 5Y / Fishbone, AIMS updates, SW issue list updates, Testing / data gathering Support Chassis led design activities (FMEA, etc.) Support Chassis or Electrical led warranty investigations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding of system engineering principles. Project Management skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to translate system requirements into electrical interface specifications. Ability to analyse and interpret HILST test results/reports. Experience with electrical system development tools. Good understanding of software development and integration processes. PC literate. Valid UK Driving license
Previous automotive electrical system delivery experience. Previous experience in HILST testing for Automotive applications.
Minimum HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge and experience of using company systems: AIMS, eFDVS, GPDS, PCS Experience of vehicle level fault finding. Understanding of in-car Networks and Diagnostics. Working knowledge of DOORS requirements management sw, or a similar
Experience in ABS or EPAS Electronics Systems.
Ideally degree qualified
