The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Launch Engineer supporting Electrical Launch Manager and Programme Launch Leaders to deliver robust electrical systems for new model launch. The role establishes the vital link between Product Development and the manufacturing environment and involves interfacing with many other departments & disciplines including: Material Planning and Logistics, Purchase and Finance, Assembly operators, Group leaders & Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineering, Suppliers, New Model Programme team, Plant Quality, Vehicle Scheduling.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to assimilate and process large quantities of data. A willingness and ability to present and report out to all Management levels. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Team player. Ability to work in high-pressure environment and to challenging deadlines. Highly organised. Good communication, negotiation, and project management skills. Ability to build good working relationships with, among others, plant based teams, suppliers, and the engineering teams in Gaydon. Self motivated & enthusiastic with a proactive approach. Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision. Creative in solving problems. Ability to prioritise tasks appropriately. A flexible approach with a "can do "attitude. A willingness to engage in any and all aspects of the launch process as required to support the business goals. Experience of working in a high volume environment in a product launch or current engineering role. Experience of working in a vehicle manuf

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of quality/problem solving tools - 8D, 6-Sigma, etc. Knowledge and experience of automotive electrical systems. Knowledge and experience of processes and methods (e.g. AIMS, WERS, FMS)/ Knowledge of software control plans. Degree/HND preferred.
