The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Act as a key interface for the Core Engineering group into the electrical area (including working with the team to address QSF's, Warranty Action's, CQI, Warranty Work stream '0' and JD power issues). Managing own tasks & suppliers tasks to achieve departmental quality, and prevent recurrence targets It is expected that the individual will work on the top expended warranty items identifying ways to reduce the warranty spend. This person will take the lead with Infotainment related commodities, identify issues using the quality toolset, focus to identify root cause and then look to eliminate the issue. It is also expected that a Prevent Recurrence Activity (PAC) will be undertaken to ensure that this issue is eliminated from all future products and the standards/processes are modified so that the issue can never re-occur. This person will act as the interface to the plants and work with the VRT Engineers and ensure issues known to plant are communicated within the wider team. This person will act as a supplier quality liaison contact with specified suppliers. Generate and report status on the given commodities at the EST and any other forum within which needs to know what the issues are and what is being done to address them. Support Company Quality requirements and initiatives including continual standards updates and reviews working with the Infotainment core engineering teams to improve current and forward model year vehicles.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 Key Skills Required: Have an Electrical design / development background ideally with a quality focus. Have a quality mind-set and be familiar with quality tools (8D, AIMs, FMEA, SPC, 6 Sigma, etc) Must be able to use Excel and pivot tables. Be a team player and have the ability to summarise and communicate complex issues. Must have ability to manipulate data in excel and actively use pivot charts. Ideally be able to conduct searches in AWS. Create & update AIMs Must have a current driving licence and be able to support activity at all facilities.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree level in electrical engineering / quality - or related experience. Knowledge of Infotainment commodities would be advantageous.
