The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
- Manage Electrical System design and delivery (hardware and software) across all client vehicle lines.
- Liaise with other Electrical areas to ensure robust delivery of the electrical system. Ensure requirements on other systems are clearly cascaded and that timing plans are in place to support the system development and delivery.
- Develop and undertake robust DVM/DVP for electrical system validation including HIL and vehicle tests aligned with client internal standards.
- Lead issue investigation.
- Ensure software is delivered on time, tested and released for vehicle use in a controlled manner.
- Development of the diagnostics, service and warranty strategy and requirements.
- Functional Safety analysis in line with ISO26262.
- Supplier management to ensure smooth, on-time delivery of agreed project outputs including review of the deliverables against agreed requirements and project objectives.
- Risk managing the system delivery, identify and contain function issues, in conjunction with vehicle engineering.
- Also manage the timing issues in conjunction with the system engineers, managers and timing team.
- Stakeholder / Customer management through appropriate review channels to ensure that project deliverables meet expected quality, format, content and targets. Manage efficiently any arising conflicts.
- Organize and chair technical reviews with technical experts from both client and supplier side.

Experience in Battery Management System design or comparable complex / safety relevant systems
Thorough understanding of system engineering principles and experience in system delivery (V-cycle).
Possess good interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, and with external bodies.
Highly disciplined, analytical and self-committed.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Automotive network
VECTOR tools, CANalyser, CAN, SPI
Software / Control engineering
Good understanding of Electrical and Electronics Hardware and Software test
Experience with Li-Ion chemistry
Six sigma problem solving
