The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Body Electrical Systems Integration Engineer - initially deployed to support seating systems forward model programmes, responsible for all electrical seat features and components, interfaces to the vehicle, and associated control systems.
Key Objectives:
Lead definition & design activities for electrical components and features across multiple seat programs, interfacing with various delivery teams, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers. Manage seat program compliance with electrical gateway deliverables (eg. GRADE, EMC, Circuits, Networks, Diagnostics, Feature definition)
Lead cross functional teams in the development and delivery of seating HMI elements and control systems
Lead resolution and closure of Seating electrical issues across all sites and in the field
Support system strategy development for components and features, local process maturation, and department metrics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven Project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.
Basic understanding of electrical circuit design, network architectures, diagnostics and multiplexing.
Ability to work cross functionally to influence and drive decisions at all levels in the organisation and supply base.
Confident and able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organisation.
Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Experienced in a component or system delivery environment with knowledge of at least two of electro-mechanical component design, control systems & HMI, validation tools & techniques, supplier management, or advanced product quality tools.
Experience of investigative tools and techniques used to resolve complex electrical system issues.
Electrical system validation methods - Labcar/breadboard testing, EMC compliance

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Capable of compiling coherent specifications & requirements to drive product robustness and warranty prevention.
PC Literacy
Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
Experienced in the automotive sector
Six sigma techniques
Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline.
