The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
As an Electrical team leader you will act as a functional practitioner who is responsible for the Electrical consultancy business. You will take full leadership responsibilities for the electrical team and direct accountability for all technical, commercial, and contractual aspects of product delivery.

Key duties include:

• Financial accountability for the electrical team – responsibility for £700K revenue
• This is a fee earning role with a utilisation target and you will take personal responsibility for meeting the team targets
• Ideally you will be an intermediate Contract Manager who will take full contract performance accountability (WIP, margin etc)
• Understand the competitive position of the team and use to influence the companies offering
• Identify and support sell on and pull through opportunities for the wider parts of the business
• Seek opportunities to enhance margin performance
• Take full commercial and contractual responsibility ensuring compliance with company systems
• Work with customers to shape and define solutions based on a good understanding of the customers environment
• Innovate with the customer to deliver improvements
• Shape and align the functional offering to best meet customer needs
• Manage relationships with the client at a senior level
• Be aware of market trends and regulatory developments and how this can be used to create innovative services
• Directly manage a team of electrical engineers and designers – taking full responsibility for the teams development and workload scheduling

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Status.
• Min of 10 years relevant experience with 5 years in a relevant responsible role.
• Sector knowledge to include Oil & Gas, Power and Chemical.
• Experienced functional practitioner
• Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of presenting at networking forums – conferences etc
• Recognised expertise in HV systems including protection and control with extensive design and operations experience
• Knowledge of and experience in UK and European electrical safety regulations
• Knowledge of all aspects of electrical maintenance and project work associated with the process industries including electrical protection systems
• Good working knowledge of electrical high voltage switchgear (up to 33KV), high power DC rectification and 415V systems.
• Familiarity with UPS systems and operation
