Our client was established over 25 years ago in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. Working in the Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Metals and Service Sectors they are one of the largest companies in the Industrial sector in Kingdom and an employer of choice for candidates across the globe.

The Role:
We currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Technician. He will be responsible for the planned and emergency maintenance, testing and installation of electrical plant, equipment and systems in support of the Process Technology Department, including a basalt fibre pilot plant and a range of plastic processing equipment.

Responsibilities
1- Responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, inspection and testing of electrical equipment under the direction of Senior Engineers. Work shall be performed to required standards ensuring safe and accurate implementation.
2- Must be able to work alongside third party contractors on site, also ensuring that they work to the approved construction method statements and schedules.
3- Ensures the proper routine electrical maintenance of a range of equipment
4- Assist with the development and execution of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs
5- Maintenance of electrical records.
6- Prepare work permits and ensure that all work is carried out according to the requirements of the permit
7- Must maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times and able to demonstrate good working practices.
8- Actively participate in site Health, Safety and Environmental activities including site welfare and general communications processes.
9- Must have excellent communication skills including the ability to relate well with other departments in the organisation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position preferably gained within either the glass fibre or plastic processing industries. Ideally a time served electrical technician with a technical diploma or equivalent in an electrical engineering discipline. Have knowledge about:

- Recognised as a source of technical/professional leadership for less experienced staff and generally work either independently or part of a multi-disciplined team and often across multiple projects
- Work with pace, focus and optimism to overcome obstacles and deliver commercial solutions
- Must be familiar with Electrical installation techniques and ensure that all electrical installations and workmanship are of the highest standard.
- Fully conversant with electrical drawings and specifications applicable to the basalt fibre or plastic processing machines.
